Universal Pictures Announces April 18th as the Release Date for
“Forgetting Sarah Marshall”

Kahuku, HI, January 4, 2008:… Universal Pictures has announced that the big screen movie “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” will be released in theaters on April 18, 2008.

“Forgetting Sarah Marshall” represents the largest filming operation ever conducted at the Turtle Bay Resort. The work, shot extensively on location at Turtle Bay Resort (where the resort actually “stars” as “itself”, i.e. it is called “Turtle Bay Resort” in the movie), is anticipated to be the next in a proven series of success movies made by the association between Universal Pictures and Apatow Productions, including “Knocked Up” and “The 40-year-old Virgin”.

The plot centers around struggling musician Peter Bretter (Jason Segel) who has spent six years idolizing his girlfriend, television star Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell). He's the guy left holding her purse in paparazzi photos and accidentally omitted from acceptance award speeches. But his world is rocked when she dumps him and Peter finds himself alone. After an unsuccessful bout of womanizing and an on-the-job nervous breakdown, he sees that not having Sarah may just ruin his life.

To clear his head, Peter takes an impulsive trip to Oahu, where he is confronted by his worst nightmare: his ex and her tragically hip new British-rocker boyfriend, Aldous (Russell Brand), are sharing his hotel, the Turtle Bay Resort. But as he torments himself with the reality of Sarah's new life, he finds relief in a flirtation with Rachel (Mila Kunis), a beautiful resort employee whose laid-back approach tempts him to rejoin the world.
